Yong Tu, PhD, senior engineer. China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research (IWHR), member of the National Mountain Flood Disaster Prevention and Control Project Team, mainly engaged in mountain flood disaster prevention, risk analysis and scientific data sharing. Since he was admitted to the IWHR in 2013, as the main technical backbone, he has been engaged in the technical support and management of National Flash Flood Disaster Prevention and Control project for 10 years, participated in the compilation of many technical requirements, and have been promoted and applied in the many provinces in China. He has presided over 10 national or provincial research projects, published more than 50 papers, more than 10 research reports, and 2 books. He has won he first prize of Jiangxi Science and Technology Progress Award(2020), the second prize of Qinghai Science and Technology Progress Award(2018), Jiangxi Province Ganpo Water Conservancy Science and Technology Award Special Award (2019), First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research. He has obtained 3 patents and 3 software copyrights. As the main editor, he compiled three water conservancy industry standards "Technical Conditions for Mountain Flood Disaster Early Warning Equipment", "Guidelines for the Preparation of Mountain Flood Disaster Prevention Plans", "Guidelines for Design of Mountain Flood Disaster Monitoring and Early Warning System", and the main reports include: "National Summary and Evaluation Report of Mountain Flood Disaster Prevention Project (2010-2015), National Mountain Flood Disaster Event Analysis Report (2013-2018), National Mountain Flood Disaster Prevention Project Operation and Maintenance Research Report, etc.
