Dai Chao is an Associate Professor in the School of Civil Engineering at Sun Yat-sen University and a scholar of the 100 Talents Programme of Sun Yat-sen University. He received his PhD from Peking University in 2016 and was a postdoctoral researcher at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore from 2016 to 2021. His research interests include flood and drought risk assessment, water resources protection and water safety assurance. He has published more than 30 SCI papers in international academic journals such as Journal of Hydrology, Science of the Total Environment, and Agricultural Water Management, with an H-index of 17. He has hosted a National Natural Science Foundation of China and is currently a guest editor of journal of Water.
