He is mainly engaged in research and technology development for flood prevention and mitigation, with strong research and multidisciplinary innovation capabilities. As the technical leader of Anhui Provincial Non-engineering Measures for Flash Flood Disaster Prevention and Control Project Team, he has undertaken the construction management and technical support work for flash flood disaster prevention and control projects in the province. He has presided over or participated in more than 100 scientific research projects or consulting projects; prepared 5 local standards in Anhui Province, including Specification for Integration of Basic Flood Control Monitoring and Early Warning Systems and Operation and Maintenance Regulations for Non-engineering Measures for Flash Flood Control; edited 2 books on flash flood disaster prevention; developed more than 10 sets of related software systems; applied for 3 patents on flash flood disaster prevention; and published more than 10 papers on flash flood disaster prevention. Relevant results have been awarded 1 Science and Technology Progress Award at the provincial and ministerial level and 3 Science and Technology Progress Awards at the department and bureau level.
