Prof. Chi Zhang is currently professor of hydrology and water resources at Dalian University of Technology, the director of the Faculty of Infrastructure Engineering, the Distinguished Professor of Chang Jiang Scholars Program under the Minister of Education, the recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and the leading talent of the National "Ten Thousand People Plan". Chi is honored with the titles of "New Century Outstanding Talents of Ministry of Education", "Outstanding Science and Technology Youth of Dalian". Chi is director of the Liaoning Provincial Key Laboratory of Water Resources Regulation, Flood Control and Disaster Reduction. In addition, he is also the member of the Editorial Board of “Advances in Water Resources”, the associate editor of “The Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management-ASCE”, the member of the China Council of Global Water Partners, and the member of the academic committees of several international conferences. Chi's long-term research interests include hydrology simulation, efficient utilization of water resources and intelligent water supplies.As chief director, he presided over the Ministry of Science and Technology's 2017 National Key R&D Program, namely Comprehensive regulation technology and Application of rivers and lakes in Songliao River Basin (17.58 million yuan), 5 National Natural Science Funds (including 1 key project), and more than 20 science and technology projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Water Resources and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.He has published more than 100 papers, including over 60 SCI papers and 2 papers in the ESI extended edition, one of which has been cited over 100 times. The research results have been widely used in the planning, design and operation management of national major projects. |
