Yanzeng Zhao

Prof. Yanzeng Zhao majored in land hydrology at Hohai University from July 1983 to July 1987. After graduation, he worked at the Henan Hydrology and Water Resources Bureau as a professor-level senior engineerand , deputy directorof Henan Hydrology and Water Resources Bureau. Since his participation in the work, he has been engaged in hydrological information forecasting, mountain flash flooddisaster prevention and control, as well as hydrological monitoring technology research and development and technology popularization, and has made some achievements. InDuring the heavy rain and floods in Henan province in 2000, , 2004, 2018 and 2020, the information is clear and the forecast is accurate, which providesing an accurate basis for flood dispatching and playsing an important role. As the main participant, he completed the research on mountainflash flood disaster early warning and forecast system based on distributed hydrological model, and won the third prize of Dayu Science and Technology Progress aAward of the Ministry of Water Resources in 2007; The project of mountain floodflash flood early warning and forecast system won the second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Henan Province in 2010. He has carried out in-depth research on the technology of disaster monitoring and early warning system, and has applied for 30 national-level patents and 15 authorized patents. Some patented products have been put into use.
